At Copene/Braskem, Mark provided high level technical, troubleshooting and design service (including process simulation) for Aromatics (Sulfolane) and Butadiene Extraction units, Reforming (Platforming), Toluene disproportionation (Tatoray and MSTDP) and Xylenes Loop (C8 Fractionation, Isomar and Parex units). Mark has extensive start-up experience including PID/HAZOP and process design reviews. He also held supervisory and manager positions in Aromatics complex operations and technology in major petrochemicals. Mark has provided training courses for both technical and operations staff.

At Worley Parsons, Mark worked expat in Abu Dhabi/UAE, Seoul/South Korea and Tampa/USA. He started as PMC Aromatics Technology consultant for ADNOC Petrochemical Complex and later performed for TAKREER Green Diesel Project at Ruwais and Abu Dhabi Refineries.

At Siemens/Chemtech, he was responsible for project management and technical coordination of Pre salt FPSOs P-66 to P-71 and SNOx project at PETROBRAS/RNEST Refinery for FEED and Detailed Design phases. At RNEST Refinery project, he started performing process design calculations, providing technical reports and approval for suppliers’ documents certification of critical equipment at Atmospheric Distillation Unit , Delayed Coking Unit , Gasoline and Diesel Hydrotreater Units and Hydrogen Generation Unit, including hydrogen separation with UOP PSA. He has strong experience as technical coordinator of multidisciplinary projects with instrumentation, electrical, piping & layout, process, HSE, mechanical, 3D model PDMS, civil and telecom specialists for FEED and Detailed Design Engineering phases. Excellent team builder & working skills, he has also a strong background in calculations for process engineering including system and equipment sizing, FEED preparation, Basic and Detailed Design, including P&IDs, HAZOP and SIL studies, commissioning and unit’s startup and also production staff training and units commissioning for acceptance test.
