Supervises the preparation of over 10 Feasibility Studies, which, on average, show an average payback time of less than 2 years. Several have reduced CAPEX by over $50 million. Results routinely include the back-calculated fouling factors for actual operation of exchangers and Murphree point efficiency for fractionation stages.
Manages the preparation of over 8 Process Design Packages per year. These include rigorous hydraulics in the simulation models, rigorous specifications for exchangers, rotating equipment, vessels, reactors, and fractionation trays and packings. Heat integration schemes include some with 3 columns between the reboiler and the condenser.
Developed patents and proprietary technology for px production, BTX Extraction, distillation of crude oil, self-cleaning velocities for exchangers, extensive heat integration and specialty chemicals. . Responsible for the proprietary thermodynamics for extraction of aromatics and distillation of black oil.
